The Helix Plus is built for big and tall sleepers, and it is a different piece of engineering from the rest of the range rather than the same bed made thicker. On Helix's 1-10 firmness scale it sits at a 7 - medium-firm - and it is rated to support up to 1,000 pounds.
Most mattresses do not wear out in the comfort layers. They fail when the support core gives way under the heaviest part of the body and a dip forms at the hip. Reinforced coils, full-perimeter edge support and high-density foams are all there to stop that happening.
Medium-firm, at a 7 out of 10 - Helix describe it as cozy with lively support and zero sagging. Cushioned on contact, but it holds you up rather than letting you settle in.

We wanted to test out Helix mattresses after the reviews I read online, and this store is the only one that keeps them out on the floor on the west side of Houston. Saad did a great job of helping my husband and I narrow our choices down. He was very patient and answered all our questions on the differences and the manufacturing process.
