About Mattresses

Start with how you sleep

Sleeping position decides more about the right mattress than brand or price does. Side sleepers need the surface to give at the shoulder and hip so the spine stays straight, which is why mattresses built for side sleepers skew softer through the comfort layers. Stomach and back sleepers need the opposite: firmer support that keeps the hips from sinking. If two people share the bed and disagree, mattresses for couples with motion isolation and split-size options are usually the compromise that actually works.

Then match the build to the problem

Once position is settled, the construction does the rest of the work:

  • Waking up sore or stiff points toward mattresses for back pain relief, where zoned support keeps the lumbar curve from collapsing overnight.
  • Waking up hot points toward cooling mattresses with phase-change covers, copper or graphite infusions and breathable coil units.
  • Wanting bounce and airflow with contouring points toward a hybrid mattress, which is the most popular build in both of our showrooms.
  • Furnishing a kid's room points toward kids and youth mattresses sized and priced for a bed they will outgrow.

Buying locally is the part you cannot get online

A mattress is one of the few purchases where thirty seconds of lying down beats every spec sheet. Our Richmond showroom is the flagship and carries the widest floor selection; the Katy showroom serves Katy, Cinco Ranch and west Houston; and the Clearance Center in Rosenberg is where floor models and one-off closeouts land at their lowest price. All three offer local delivery, old-mattress removal and financing options if you would rather spread the cost out.

If you already know your budget, it is often faster to work backwards from it. Browse current mattress sale pricing or start with mattresses under $1,000 and see what that money buys before you shop by brand.
