Helix Core

Helix Core is the 12-inch tier of the Helix range and the most straightforward place to start. Every Core model is a hybrid: three layers of high-density foam over hundreds of individually wrapped steel coils, with reinforced edge support. What decides the feel is which model you pick, not a firmness setting, and Mattress On Demand keeps the range on the floor in Katy, Richmond and Rosenberg, TX so you can try them side by side.

At 12 inches, Core fits situations where a deeper mattress would sit too high: platform beds with low rails, guest rooms, bunks and trundles. All seven models share the same coil-and-foam base, so the difference between them is the comfort layer on top.

• Helix Moonlight — plush, built for side sleepers
