Fifteen minutes from Crabb River Road to our showroom floor
Greatwood has one practical advantage when it comes to buying a bed: the community's western edge is Crabb River Road, and from there our Richmond showroom is a straight run of about 15 minutes. From the Greatwood Parkway entrances off US 59 it is much the same. Our Rosenberg showroom is roughly 20 minutes south-west and Katy about 30 minutes north, but for nearly every household inside Greatwood the Richmond floor is both the nearest and our largest.
Because it is that close, you do not have to settle everything in one afternoon. Come once to narrow the field, sleep on it for a night or two, then come back later in the week to confirm the two or three mattresses that stayed with you. That is a better way to buy something you will lie on for the next decade than deciding under pressure on a single Saturday, and it is only realistic when the store is a short drive from home.

A community built between 1989 and 2008 is due a new mattress
American General broke ground on Greatwood in 1989, Newland Communities took over the later phases, and the last homes went up around 2008. That produced 4,167 houses across 29 sections, from Greatwood Village and Greatwood Terrace through Greatwood Lake, Greatwood Shores, Greatwood Trails, Greatwood Forest, Greatwood Knoll and Greatwood Crossing. It also means every bedroom in the community is somewhere between roughly eighteen and thirty-six years old, and a good number of them are still on a mattress bought when the family moved in.

Greatwood is one of the few Sugar Land neighborhoods zoned to Lamar Consolidated ISD rather than Fort Bend ISD.
