Core is the value tier: the Basic foam and Milan innerspring for guest rooms and first apartments, then the Ridge 11-inch firm hybrid, the Cove 13-inch medium Euro-top hybrid, the Atlas 14-inch firm hybrid, the Solis 15-inch plush Euro-top hybrid, the Ice-Tex 12-inch hybrid with its heavy-duty coil unit, and the Aurora ET 13-inch hybrid with a plush euro top. If you want a supportive hybrid mattress with a real coil unit at the most accessible price in the line, start in Core; several of these models also appear in our mattresses under $1,000.

Lux is the step up in materials. The Copper Lux hybrid comes in medium and firm, the Arc Chill (firm) and Arie Chill (medium) hybrids are built around cooling covers for hot sleepers, and the Graph 13-inch graphite memory foam mattress is offered in plush, medium-plush, medium-firm and firm so an all-foam sleeper can pick a feel as precisely as a hybrid shopper can. The Apex 14-inch flagship cooling Euro-top hybrid sits at the top of the range.

Matching a KOVA to how you sleep

• Side sleepers usually land on the Solis plush, the Cove medium or the Graph in plush or medium-plush, where the comfort layer gives at the shoulder and hip.
• Back and stomach sleepers tend toward the Ridge, Atlas, Arc Chill or the Graph in firm, which keep the hips level.
