Three ways Lux is built

Each Lux family solves a slightly different problem, so it helps to know which one you are shopping for before you start comparing feels.

• Arc Chill and Arie Chill: 13-inch smooth-top hybrids with Amstar-Aero gel memory foam and 7-zone ergonomic support. The Arc Chill is firm, the Arie Chill is medium, and the Arie adds foam-encased coils under a cool-touch knit cover.
• Copper Lux: 15-inch hybrids that pair a 7-zone coil system with charcoal-infused memory foam and a cooling top quilted with natural wool. The firm version uses 900 individually wrapped coils and a hand-quilted wool panel, and has the responsive feel of a traditional innerspring.
• KOVA Graph: a 13-inch all-foam mattress with graphite-infused memory foam and a smooth cooling top, offered in four firmness levels from Twin to California King.

Who each model tends to suit

Back and stomach sleepers usually start with the Arc Chill, the Copper Lux Firm or the Graph in firm, which keep the hips level. Side and combination sleepers tend to prefer the Arie Chill, the Copper Lux Medium or the Graph in plush or medium-plush. If you share the bed and disagree on feel, the Copper Lux in medium and firm is the easiest side-by-side test, and our wider selection of mattresses for couples is worth a look too.

Sleeping hot is the most common reason shoppers step up from Core to Lux. The gel and graphite foams and cool-touch covers are the reason these models sit alongside our other cooling mattresses for hot sleepers. If you already know you prefer the hug of foam with no coils at all, compare the Graph with the rest of our memory foam mattresses.

Lux or Core?

If the budget is tighter, the KOVA Core collection covers firm, medium and plush hybrids plus simple foam and innerspring beds. Lying on a Core and a Lux model of the same firmness back to back is the quickest way to decide whether the upgraded materials matter to you.
