The Plank Firm is Brooklyn Bedding's firmest mattress and, by its own description, the firmest sleep surface on the market short of the floor. It is a 10-inch, four-layer, all-foam build that flips: one side is a traditional firm, the other is extra firm and flat. A 6-inch high-density foam core and a 2-inch Supreme Response comfort foam do the work, with thin quilted panels on each face that set the loft. The American Chiropractic Association endorsed the Plank for reducing spinal stress and improving lumbar support. this bed is for people who know they want extra firm, not for side sleepers looking for cushion.
Flip the mattress to switch between the two sides. Open-cell foam throughout lets body heat dissipate.
Both sides are firm; the flip decides how firm. The firm side rates about 7.5 to 9 out of 10, slightly above a traditional firm mattress. The extra-firm side rates about 9.5 to 10.5 and is the flattest surface Brooklyn Bedding makes. Back and stomach sleepers, people with lower-back pain, and anyone who prefers the feel of a tatami-style pad are the intended audience. If you want the same firmness with more contouring and motion isolation for a partner, the Plank Firm Luxe adds a coil core.
Sizes we carry: Twin, Twin XL, Short Full 48x74, Full, Short Queen 60x74, Olympic Queen 66x80, Queen, King, California King, Short King, RV King 72x80, RV King 70x74, RV King 70x80.
It ships free, and it comes with the 365-Night Comfort Guarantee - a full year of nights to be sure, which is the only test that really counts.

We wanted to test out Helix mattresses after the reviews I read online, and this store is the only one that keeps them out on the floor on the west side of Houston. Saad did a great job of helping my husband and I narrow our choices down. He was very patient and answered all our questions on the differences and the manufacturing process. We ended up making the purchase since the store gave us additional items/discount.
I went to about 4-5 different mattress stores and I was between the Helix and another brand. Saad was the deciding factor and treated my wife and I like true customers and not just a commission check. As someone in Sales, I will say he was the perfect mix of real/down to earth and salesperson. I respect his professionalism. Would recommend him all day long.
Mr Butt did a fantastic job in explaining the importance of getting the right mattress for my wife and me. We picked a mattress and it should be delivered in 7 days and I am sure that it will exceed our expectations. Thanks again to saad for being a great person in selling us our forever mattress.
We have been shopping for a new mattress for quite some time now with a budget. The places we visited were way out of our price range. I would like to say that this came to an amazing end! Mattress on Demand in Katy has given us a great experience in a quality mattress as well as for our wallet. I was very impressed with the knowledge that Tony has for quality sleep. I would definitely recommend the best mattress store in Katy, Mattress on Demand!
This was the best experience I have ever had when buying furniture. When I had a question Tony was fast in responding. My order was shipped super fast and the quality of the product is amazing. I will definitely be buying from mattresses on demand in the future. Worth every penny! Tony is helpful and understanding and a joy to speak with. He went above and beyond his customer service duty best place EVER!!!! Thank you so much Tony
Larry at Mattress on Demand was great to work with. Very honest and showed us all options, regardless of budget. I honestly don’t know if there’s cheaper options and don’t care. This was our first stop and the service alone was enough to sell me. They even followed us home for delivery. Can’t beat that. Thanks for a great experience. Will definitely be back when the kids need a new mattress soon.
We recently purchased a new Helix hybrid mattress and adjustable base from Mattress on Demand in Katy, TX. We had a great experience with Saad assisting us in making our final selections after our extensive research. The experience was enjoyable with no pressure or hard sell tactics and we felt the price was fair. Once our purchase was complete, Mattress on Demand delivered and set-up our new bed and frame, showing us how to use the adjustable base and answered any of our questions. We would highly recommend them for your next mattress purchase.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting a small business mattress shop owned by Tony, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The shop boasts a diverse selection of mattress brands, catering to a variety of preferences and budgets. What truly set the experience apart, though, was Tony’s exceptional knowledge and dedication to his craft.
Tony took the time to understand my needs and preferences, providing insightful recommendations without any pressure. His expertise in different mattress types and brands made it easy for me to find the perfect match. Thanks to his guidance, I am now enjoying a mattress that has significantly improved my sleep quality.
If you're in the market for a new mattress and value personalized service, I highly recommend visiting Tony’s shop. His commitment to customer satisfaction and his thorough understanding of the products make it a standout choice.
