Posturepedic Plus models, including the Patterson and Medina families, use the entry reinforced coil unit and are the most affordable way into the brand. Posturepedic Pro steps up to a denser coil count and more substantial comfort layers, which is where the Dupont models sit, in both spring and hybrid builds. Posturepedic Elite is the top tier and covers Albany II, Brenham II and High Point II, with the deepest comfort layers and the most reinforcement through the centre third of the mattress. The difference you notice between tiers is mostly how well the surface holds its shape under your hips over years, not how soft it feels on the first night.

Hybrid or traditional innerspring

Most of this collection is hybrid: a pocketed coil base with foam and gel comfort layers above it. Those models sleep cooler than an all-foam bed and still contour at the shoulder and hip. A smaller group of Posturepedic Spring models keeps a more traditional innerspring character, with a tighter and more responsive surface that long-time innerspring sleepers often prefer on sight. Matching the feel to how you sleep

Sealy labels its feels soft, medium-plush, medium, firm and ultra firm, and the right one follows your sleeping position more than your preference. Back and stomach sleepers generally want the firm or ultra firm end so the hips stay level.
